The fur on her outfit versus his clean white hat creates such a great visual contrast. You can tell exactly who is the wild one and who is the ordered lawman. Every stitch looks authentic to the era. Tombstone clearly put budget into the wardrobe because everyone looks incredibly detailed and rugged.
Why Did He Sleep Through It
Seriously though, how was he sleeping through a horse chase and screaming right outside? Maybe he was drugged or just super tired. Regardless, his awakening sets the whole plot in motion perfectly. Tombstone uses that confusion to make his sudden competence even more impressive and surprising for us.
