The moment he realizes he is outmatched in The Supreme Wastrel is heartbreaking. His final question about what kind of monster the assassin is leaves such a chilling cliffhanger.

This is easily one of the best fantasy shorts I have seen lately. The blend of magic, swordplay, and mystery in The Supreme Wastrel is top tier. It makes me want to binge the whole series immediately. If the rest of the episodes are this good, we are in for a wild ride. Highly recommend!
