The wolf motifs everywhere hint at a deeper culture. Seeing the elder with the wolf staff added so much weight to the ceremony before it went wrong.
Sound Design Is Underrated
The audio in The Fang Covenant deserves more credit. The sound of claws scraping against stone in the opening gave me goosebumps. Then the silence right before the glass broke created perfect tension. When the boy screamed, the echo in the cathedral made it feel so much bigger. Great use of ambient noise to build atmosphere.
Ending Leaves Me Shook
That cliffhanger ending with the boy bleeding and the mom screaming is cruel. The Fang Covenant leaves you hanging right at the worst moment. Is he going to die? Will his powers save him? The blue glow fading as he fell suggests things look bad. I need the next episode immediately to see if Isola Hill loses everything.
