Six hundred years ago, King Arthur sealed the Purgatory Dragon away with the Holy Sword and four Crimson‑Flame Gems. Centuries later, Aldric ascends to the throne and chances upon Elinor, a girl of humble origins, whom he makes his queen. Six years on, the pair return to her hometown in search of her birth mother, only to fall victim to persecution at the hands of her birth father, stepmother and a power‑hungry judge.
