Synopsis
A childhood gift of orange candy from ballerina Elowen becomes the root of businessman Kenton's pathological obsession. After marriage he isolates, confines, and abuses her, tightening control when she becomes pregnant. Elowen secretly contacts former dance partner Philip, but Kenton repeatedly recasts her pleas as prenatal depression, and a violent confrontation causes miscarriage.
