Ji Liancheng really pulled the ultimate power move by claiming Bai Xiyue as his wife right in front of everyone. The way he held her waist while dropping that bombshell was pure drama gold. Watching the other guy's face drop was satisfying, but the tension between the ex-couple is off the charts. This scene in (Dubbed) Exes in One Bed! had me screaming at my screen.

That moment when Bai Xiyue almost fell into the water and Ji Liancheng caught her? My heart stopped. The chemistry is undeniable even if they are divorced. He didn't hesitate for a second to protect her. It makes you wonder if their divorce was really what they wanted. The lighting in this scene was perfect for the mood.
Jealousy Looks Good on Him
Ji Liancheng accusing Bai Xiyue of looking for number four and five was so petty but I loved it. He is clearly still obsessed with her despite saying they are strangers. The way he cornered her by the pool table showed he cannot let go. (Dubbed) Exes in One Bed! knows how to write a toxic but addictive relationship dynamic perfectly.
The Other Guy Did Nothing Wrong
Poor Lu Xilou just wanted to have dinner and got shut down hard. He seemed like a nice guy compared to the intense vibes of the ex-couple. Watching him get rejected after seeing all that drama was awkward but funny. He definitely needs to stay away from this messy situation. Bai Xiyue owes him an explanation at least.
She Is Not His Wife Anymore
Bai Xiyue setting the record straight that they are strangers once divorced was a power move. She refused to let Ji Liancheng control her narrative. I love that she stood up to him even though he is intimidating. Their history is heavy but she is trying to move on. This conflict drives the whole plot of (Dubbed) Exes in One Bed! forward effectively.
Visuals Are Stunning
The cinematography in this clip is movie quality. The contrast between the warm bar lights and the cool blue pool room created such a specific atmosphere. Bai Xiyue's white outfit against the dark background made her pop visually. Every frame looks like a painting. The production value here is insane for a short drama series.
The Mistress Comment Hurt
When Ji Liancheng mentioned being her mistress it felt like a low blow. He was trying to hurt her feelings because he felt threatened by the other guy. It shows how deep their unresolved issues go. They clearly still have a lot of pain to work through. The acting in this confrontation scene was top tier.
Caught in the Act
The way the second guy walked in and saw them hugging was cringe worthy. He asked if they were having a private chat and the silence was so loud. You could feel the awkwardness radiating off the screen. Ji Liancheng did not even let go of her which was a bold statement. (Dubbed) Exes in One Bed! delivers constant tension.
She Deserves Better
Bai Xiyue seems exhausted by Ji Liancheng's games. She just wanted to have a normal dinner and he turned it into a scene. He is possessive and manipulative which is not healthy. I hope she finds someone who treats her with respect like Lu Xilou seemed to. Her facial expressions showed so much fatigue with the situation.
Never Too Late to Fight
The title card at the end hints that maybe they will get back together eventually. The way they looked at each other before he walked away suggested unfinished business. Ji Liancheng is fighting hard to keep her in his life somehow. I am hooked on this story and need to know what happens next immediately.
