The Wedding That Turned to Ashes

Brides of Ashes starts with such a dreamy double wedding, but the shift to horror is brutal. Watching Clora trapped in that burning room while Fred comforts Lise outside? My heart shattered. The betrayal is so personal and cruel, especially with her pregnancy.

Fred's Choice Will Haunt Me

I cannot believe Fred chose to save a cat over his pregnant wife Clora. The scene where he tells her to stop framing Lise while she screams from the window is peak tragedy. Brides of Ashes really knows how to break your heart with one decision.

Lise is the Ultimate Villain

From congratulating the brides to locking Clora in a burning manor? Lise Mancini is terrifying. Her smile as she says 'Burn in hell' gave me chills. Brides of Ashes has the best kind of hate-to-love-to-hate character arc with her.

Visuals Are Stunningly Dark

The contrast between the bright church wedding and the dark, fiery manor is incredible. Brides of Ashes uses lighting so well to show the shift from happiness to nightmare. That shot of Clora behind the bars with flames behind her is iconic.

Evelyn Deserves Better Friends

Evelyn tried to save Clora but was held back by her own husband Victor. It is so frustrating watching her scream while Fred ignores his wife. Brides of Ashes really shows how toxic friendships can destroy lives. Poor Evelyn is stuck in the middle.

The Cat Plot Twist Was Wild

Using a cat to distract the husbands while Clora burns? That is next level evil. Brides of Ashes really went there with Lise manipulating everyone's emotions. I was yelling at the screen when Fred ran to the roof instead of the door.

Clora's Final Scream Broke Me

When Clora realizes Fred isn't coming and starts bleeding, I literally cried. Brides of Ashes does not hold back on the emotional damage. Her whispering 'why' before collapsing is the saddest moment I have seen all year.

Victor's Silence Speaks Volumes

Victor Valois just stands there while his friend's wife burns. His line about the cat being a life while ignoring Clora is so cold. Brides of Ashes makes you question who the real monsters are in this story.

Three Years Later Hit Hard

The time jump from happy wedding to pregnant Clora alone in a manor was such a gut punch. Brides of Ashes sets up the perfect happy ending just to destroy it. The anniversary dinner turning into a death trap is unforgettable.

This Story Is a Masterpiece of Pain

Brides of Ashes takes the trope of the jealous ex and turns it into a full blown horror thriller. Every character makes choices that lead to disaster. Watching Clora lose everything in one night is devastating but so well done.
