The Glass Shatters

Selena crushing that champagne glass was the most satisfying moment in Blood and Lies! The way she stared down Viktor while blood dripped from her hand showed she is done being a victim. Kozlov stepping in to wrap her wound with his handkerchief adds such a complex layer to their alliance. Pure drama!

Daddy Issues

Viktor calling himself father after all these years was so cringe. Selena was right to say fathers earn the title. The tension in that ballroom was thick enough to cut with a knife. Watching her stand up to him while Kozlov watched silently made me root for their team even more. Blood and Lies never disappoints.

More Than Fire

When Kozlov told Viktor that Selena has more than fire, I got chills. It is clear he sees her strength where others only see a girl to control. The way he pulled her away from the scene showed protectiveness without saying a word. This show knows how to build chemistry between characters perfectly.

Red Velvet Handkerchief

The detail of Kozlov using a red velvet handkerchief to clean Selena's hand was such a nice touch. It matched the blood and the mood of the scene. Selena saying she cannot afford kindness right now broke my heart a little. Blood and Lies really understands how to mix pain with beauty in every frame.

Control Her

Viktor telling Kozlov to control Selena was the last straw. It showed exactly why he does not deserve to be called father. The look on Kozlov's face said everything. He is not going to let anyone hurt her again. This episode of Blood and Lies was full of powerful moments like this one.

Elegant Violence

There is something so elegant about how Selena handles her anger. She did not scream or cry, she just crushed the glass and stood tall. The lighting turning red when she confronted Viktor was a brilliant visual choice. Blood and Lies always makes violence look like an art form in the best way possible.

Leave Us

Kozlov saying leave us to Viktor was so cold and perfect. He took charge immediately after the confrontation. Walking Selena out of the hall while holding her hand showed he is her real support system. I love how Blood and Lies portrays strong partnerships without making them cheesy or unrealistic at all.

Don't Be Kind

Selena telling Kozlov not to be kind because she cannot afford it was such a deep line. It shows how much trauma she is carrying inside. Kozlov wrapping her hand anyway proved he does not care about her rules. Their dynamic in Blood and Lies is becoming my favorite part of the whole series so far.

Chandelier Glow

The cinematography in this episode was stunning. Those huge chandeliers glowing over the tense conversation added so much atmosphere. Seeing Selena in her black dress under that light made her look like a queen of darkness. Blood and Lies really knows how to use setting to enhance the emotional impact of scenes.

Companion Not Pet

Viktor calling Selena a companion to Kozlov was so disrespectful. He still sees her as property instead of a person. Kozlov defending her silently by standing close spoke volumes. I am so invested in seeing them take down Viktor together. Blood and Lies keeps raising the stakes with every single episode released.
