The contrast in Regret? It's the Apocalypse! is insane! One minute we are trapped in a dungeon with cyborg monsters, the next we are walking in a bright, futuristic city. The tension when the skeleton warrior raises that flaming sword had me on the edge of my seat. Seeing the humans and cute monster kids coexisting later gives such hope, but that dark energy creeping over the wall at the end? Pure dread. The animation style shifts perfectly between horror and slice of life. Can't wait to see how the peace gets shattered next!
