From the purple phoenix spirit to the ice crystals shattering the ground, every frame is packed with energy. The color palette shifts from dark and moody to bright and vibrant perfectly match the mood swings of the battle. It is rare to see a short drama with this much attention to visual detail.
The Old Man's Secret
That bald guy with the weird hair tufts is definitely more than he seems. He was holding his own against the attackers initially, and his reaction to the hooded man suggested a history. I suspect he is a hidden master pretending to be weak. The way he stood beside the young guy with the shovel showed some real mentor energy. Hope we get his backstory soon.
Purple Hair Villain
The antagonist with the purple hair is so hateable in the best way possible. His expression when he realized Su Caixi was fighting back was priceless. He went from smug to terrified so fast. It makes the victory even sweeter when the underdog crushes such an arrogant opponent. The facial animation during his panic attack was hilarious and dramatic.

No time wasted on filler here. The action starts immediately and keeps going until the very end. The transition from the night fight to the forest battle was smooth and kept the momentum high. Watching Su Caixi dodge attacks and then counter with her own energy blasts was thrilling. This is exactly the kind of pacing I want from I'm Just An Immortal, Stop Staring! S2.
