The Emperor calling his most loyal warrior a traitor right after she secured victory is heartbreaking. You can see the betrayal in her eyes when the guards turn on her. The dialogue about favoring villains over the loyal hits hard. This show really knows how to break your heart before building you back up with epic fights.
I love how the female general relies on her sword skills while the eunuch uses dark magic. The contrast between her golden armor and his purple energy attacks creates such a cool visual palette. When she deflects that spell, I literally cheered! (Dubbed) Kill-To-Grow? I Love It! has the best action choreography I have seen recently.
Her argument that ruining the enemy is the only way to secure peace is so compelling. It challenges the Emperor's cowardly diplomacy. The way she speaks about the soldiers who died for victory gives me chills every time. This scene perfectly captures the tragedy of war and politics clashing.
That eunuch character is the ultimate hate-watch. His smug face when he orders her execution is infuriating! But seeing her take down the guards with such elegance makes it all worth it. The costume design for the court officials is also top-notch, very authentic looking.
The camera angles during the confrontation are incredible. Starting with close-ups on her determined face and pulling back to show the entire army turning against her creates such scale. The lighting in the tent scene adds to the ominous mood. (Dubbed) Kill-To-Grow? I Love It! feels like a blockbuster movie.
