The lighting in this bar scene is moody and perfect for the drama. Warm lights, whiskey glasses, and tense silences. Darius in that blue suit looking brooding in the background while Vera smiles in the foreground is great visual storytelling. Cinematography on point!
Regret Hits Hard
Darius admitting he is a coward internally while watching Vera move on is peak angst. He knows he messed up and now he has to watch her succeed without him. The snow stopped for me delivers the best kind of emotional damage where you root for redemption but fear it's too late.
