The way John reloads his gun while standing over Alice shows pure determination. He knows he is outnumbered but he does not back down. Seeing him whisper that he is there for her while bullets fly through the door is heartbreaking. This scene in His Forbidden Prisoner is pure adrenaline.
Alice Is Terrified

The main cop is completely unhinged. Walking down the hallway stepping over his own men like it is nothing shows how dangerous he is. Telling Alice that John will end up like Ethan is such a dark threat. His Forbidden Prisoner has one scary antagonist.
Protecting Alice
John telling Alice to get down and not get up shows his priority is her safety above all. Even when he is shooting back he keeps her covered. The dynamic between them in the middle of this chaos is the heart of His Forbidden Prisoner.
Hallway Shootout
The choreography in the hallway was insane. Seeing the bad guys get taken down one by one before the leader steps up was so satisfying. Then the door gets kicked in and the panic starts again. The pacing in His Forbidden Prisoner never slows down.
Hiding Behind The Mattress
Using the mattress as a shield was a smart move but bullets were still going through it. The wood splinters flying everywhere made the danger feel so close. Alice clinging to John while he aims that gun is such a powerful image from His Forbidden Prisoner.
