Zeus really said NO to Hades

The moment Zeus summoned that lightning bolt, I knew Hades was done for. The visual effects in Gods on Call are insane for a short drama. Watching a mortal get vaporized for making a deal with the underworld was wild. Zeus's entrance with the eagle was pure king energy.

Asclepius chose love over godhood

I was not expecting Asclepius to stay behind in the mortal world. His goodbye to the crying woman hit hard. He said debts still remain, implying he has unfinished business helping people. Gods on Call really knows how to tug at heartstrings with these divine romances.

Hades got banished for 1000 years

Talk about a serious punishment. Zeus stripped Hades of all power and sent him back to the underworld. The purple smoke effect when he disappeared was so cool. This show does not hold back on the consequences for breaking divine laws. Truly epic stuff.

The clinic setting is unique

New Leaf Clinic being the meeting point for gods and mortals is such a creative idea. It grounds the fantasy in a modern setting. Seeing gods in togas standing in front of a glass building in Dubai was a visual treat. Gods on Call blends genres perfectly.

Zeus is the ultimate dad figure

Even though he was angry, you could tell Zeus cared about his brothers. Calling Asclepius stubborn but letting him stay showed his softer side. The dynamic between the gods feels very family-oriented despite the power struggles. Love this interpretation.

That plot twist with the mortal

The guy kneeling before Hades thinking he would get wealth, only to get zapped by Zeus. It was instant karma. The acting in that scene was over the top in the best way possible. Gods on Call delivers high stakes drama in every episode.

Visuals are movie quality

The cityscape background with the glowing portals looked like a big budget movie. The costume design for the gods, especially the gold and blue gems, was stunning. It is rare to see this level of production value in short form content. Absolutely gorgeous.

Asclepius and the woman

Their hug at the end was so tender. She was crying but smiling, telling him to go back, but he chose to stay. It sets up so many questions for the next season. What debts does he have? Gods on Call leaves you wanting more immediately.

Hades needs a redemption arc

He looked so defeated when Zeus sentenced him. Sending souls to the underworld as laborers is a dark motive. I hope we see more of his backstory later. The villain here is actually quite complex and not just evil for no reason. Fascinating character.

Best short drama of the year

Gods on Call has everything. Action, romance, mythology, and modern twists. The pacing is fast but the emotional beats land well. Watching it on netshort was a great experience. If you like Greek mythology, this is a must watch series for sure.
