Selene is So Brave
Lady Selene might be a concubine, but she has so much courage. Standing up to Vivian and Damian takes guts. Her light blue outfit makes her look innocent, but her actions show strength. The scene where she kneels but refuses to back down gave me chills. She is my favorite character so far.
Epic Fight Choreography
The fight scenes in this show are incredible. The janitor moves with such fluidity despite his rough clothes. The sound design when the weapons clash is crisp. From Bastard to GOD! does not skimp on the action budget. Every punch and kick feels impactful and real. I want to learn those moves.
The Abacus Guy is Suspicious
That guy holding the abacus watches everything with a smirk. He knows more than he lets on. His subtle reactions to the fighting suggest he is playing a long game. I love these mysterious side characters that add depth to the plot. He might be the key to the janitor's rise to power later on.
Costume Design is Top Tier
The contrast between the ragged clothes of the janitor and the silk robes of the family is striking. It visually tells the story of class struggle. Vivian's fur collar and pearls scream wealth and arrogance. From Bastard to GOD! pays attention to every detail in the wardrobe to enhance the storytelling.
Emotional Rollercoaster
One minute I am laughing at Damian's arrogance, the next I am crying for Lady Selene. This show hits all the emotional notes. The janitor's rage when he sees her hurt is so raw and human. It makes you care deeply about their fate. I cannot wait to see what happens in the next episode.
