Did anyone else gasp when the sword came down? The headless body slumping on the throne was such a shocking image. The contrast between the golden palace and the red blood on the ice steps is visually stunning. Liu Ruyan Is Iconic
Liu Ruyan is absolutely glowing in this episode. Her white hair and green eyes look ethereal against the warm background of the palace. She is definitely my favorite character so far.

Meanwhile, the protagonist starts serious and ends with this confident, almost arrogant smirk. The lighting changes from cold blue ice to warm golden sunlight really highlight his rise to power. Watching him accept the new mission with such calm is satisfying.

The fight choreography might be short, but the impact is huge. Seeing the ice magic swirl around Liu Ruyan while the protagonist draws his sword creates such great tension. The silhouette shot of the strike was cinematic gold. My Plant Empress Woke Up! uses visual effects to make the magic feel real and dangerous. The frozen throne room is a masterpiece of set design.

The ending where the system gives a new mission to round the room had me laughing. It is so bold to put that in a historical drama. Can we talk about the background art? The golden pillars and dragon carvings look so detailed. Even with all the ice and blood, the palace feels majestic. It feels like a big budget movie.

The emotional whiplash is real but I am here for it. The way Liu Ruyan looks at the protagonist with trust after the kill shows their bond is strong. Truly a gripping watch.

They just took down a ruler and now they are standing together in the sunlight. The way he holds her waist and she touches his chest is so intimate. I am totally invested in their journey to the peak of cultivation.
