The visual effects on that portal were stunning, but his lack of suspicion is frustrating to watch. You just know he is walking into a disaster.
Mia's Comeback Arc
I love how Mia did not back down even when surrounded by her enemies. The tension in that hallway was palpable as the girls confronted her about Ashfort Academy. Her expression when she asked if they were expelled showed she still has some fire left. Reborn to Reclaim My Magic and Love is really setting up a great revenge story here. Can not wait to see her fight back against these bullies.
That Slap Heard Round the World
The red-haired girl definitely had some pent-up anger to release. Slapping Mia for the locker room incident added so much drama to the scene. The way the other girls held Mia back made it feel even more intense. It is clear there is a lot of history between them that we have not seen yet. Using a glowing orb to show real photos was such a clever twist on magic. Mia grabbing it and fighting back showed she is not just a victim. I did not expect the fight to end with someone getting pushed out of a window! The shot of Mia hanging from the ledge was terrifying. The costumes in this show are absolutely gorgeous, even during a fight scene. Mia's floral dress contrasted so well with the red-haired girl's beaded gown. You almost forget they are trying to hurt each other.

The dialogue about getting kicked out of Ashfort Academy explained so much about their hatred. It makes sense why the red-haired girl is so bitter about Mia being there.
